Vitiligo G.L.O.W.™ is a one-session virtual group experience where we gather to see ourselves — maybe for the first time — through that lens. Your vitiligo did not hold you back. It built you.

What Happens in This Session

This is not a lecture. This is a conversation — guided, purposeful, and grounded in community. Here is how the 90 minutes unfolds:

 

Welcome & Setting the Space  

We open by creating a safe, affirming environment where every voice is welcome. You will briefly introduce yourself — no credentials required, no explanations needed. Just you, as you are.

 

The Reframe: What Vitiligo Has Actually Built in You

Kim guides a powerful exploration connecting your lived experience with vitiligo to real, demonstrable strengths:

• Courage — showing up visibly when you could have hidden

• Resilience — navigating stares, questions, and unwanted attention with grace

• Self-awareness — developing a deep understanding of identity beyond appearance

• Emotional intelligence — building empathy for others who feel different

• Leadership presence — owning a room not because of how you look, but because of how you carry yourself

• Confidence under pressure — learning early that your value is not defined by what others see

Group Reflection: Your G.L.O.W. Moment 

Participants are invited to share — at their own comfort level — a moment when living with vitiligo required them to dig deep, show up anyway, or surprise themselves with their own strength. Kim facilitates with care, helping the group see the themes of confidence, leadership, and value woven through every story.

This is where the community magic happens.

Kim walks participants through the G.L.O.W. Framework as it applies to personal and professional identity:

• G — Gain Confidence & Clarity: You already have more confidence than you realize. Let’s name it.

• L — Lean Into Your Strengths: The strengths vitiligo developed in you are real and transferable. Let’s identify them.

• O — Open New Doors: When you own your story, you show up differently — in interviews, in relationships, in leadership.

• W — WIN (What’s Important Now): What is one thing you will do differently after today because you now see your value more clearly?

Kim closes with an affirming reflection and a challenge. Each participant is invited to share one word that describes how they feel leaving this session versus how they felt entering it. The session closes in community — participants are encouraged to stay connected with one another and with Career Glow beyond today.
